Yes, I know, I still have a “personal” blog. I’m not sure for how long, though, because where I spend all of my blogging hours now is ZeaLouS1.com. I have entirely way too much to do during the week, so I can’t really post up every cool little thing I see anymore.

I started a record label. It was a pretty simple process, really, my friends and I just . . . started it. We’re planning on releasing our first record sometime this summer, and then, hopefully, take it on tour.

And . . . that’s pretty much all I do now, is run a record label. Not much time for anything else, but I love what I do now, so it’s okay.

What I think I’m going to do is turn this into a design portfolio, which I never got around to doing, because I still enjoy designing and I’d like to show off my works. Until then, this site should be very bare, so why don’t you come over to ZeaLouS1.com and listen to a couple of tracks?

Keyword: almost.

Word to the wise, make sure a barbecue pit doesn’t have anything flammable inside of it before you toss a lit cigarette into it.

Other than that, the move is going well. I have my bed here, and most of my clothes, and, of course, every piece of modern technology that I own. I’m just waiting until I paint my room to move my big pieces of furniture, which makes it kind of difficult to set anything down. I’ve temporarily taken over the Boss Fight offices to store things like my keys, wallet, loose change, etc. I was going to paint my walls today, but I got a late start because I’m fighting something of a cold, so I only managed to scrub every square inch of exposed surface. I’ll complete the job Monday.

I ordered Pizza Hut pizza on-line, and now I’m just listening to streaming Shoutcast stations and relaxing. I wonder if I can manage to primer the walls before nightfall . . .

I get notified in my Firefox browser every time I get an e-mail in my Gmail account. Minutes ago, it told me I had a message from Ticketmaster and Tori Amos. The message was an offer to pre-order Tori’s new album American Doll Posse, out May 1. Pre-order . . . through iTunes.

I’m very anti-DRM. I just don’t like it. Because it’s sucks not being able to use your music they way you want to use it. And also, I’m one of those people that can magically tell if a CD has been burned from the original disc or from MP3s and the like, and I listen to 70% of my music in the car from CDs, so the low quality of compressed music just doesn’t cut it. I don’t buy anything from iTunes. I buy from eMusic, sure, but it’s like a quarter a song, and they give me my music in non-DRM, higher quality MP3. I don’t buy anything from iTunes.

Until now.

Oh, they got me! They dangled an offer for a ticket pre-sale to her upcoming tour like a shiny red-headed carrot right in front of my face and I bit! Damn them! How did they know my weakness? Which one of you told?

So, yeah, that’s the only thing I’m buying from the iTunes store until ALL of their music has had the DRM removed. Seriously. I mean it. For real this time.

In real life news, I suddenly decided to move into a house I’ll be sharing with my best friends. It works out perfectly because we’re working on a lot of business strategies as of late, so hopefully we’ll be making actual money soon. Plus, my new room will be almost three times the size of my current room, with it’s own bathroom and a huge closet. Should be cool.

Seriously, though, tomorrow night, I’m hitting it hard, sitting down and crank out the design for NERDY, because I’ve got a secret project coming up during the month of April that’s going to need all my attention, all my energy, and all my technical and creative prowess. Oooh, secret project, huh? Yeah, definitely stay tuned for an announcement.

Alright, time to put on a happy face :)

The first thing I bought was a copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl for the PC. I’ve seen the previews for the game and something about roaming the savage wastelands of the forgotten aftermath of Chernobyl sounded really cool. I’ve been playing so many games at work ever since I got my HP laptop with the nVidia graphics chip built in that I am NEVER bored at work.

Next up (literally minutes after I bought that game) was a copy of ytcracker’s Nerd Life. Recent developments have made me want to support the profitability of all Nerdcore artists, so if I can buy an album from yt, in turn buying him a sandwich or a few minutes of studio time, that would be really cool. For the same reason, after I bought yt’s album, I also bought Ultraklystron’s Romance Language.

I still have cash left on this Visa card, is there anything else I should be purchasing with it? I have twenty or so dollars left.
